It’s a sunny warm day in early May, and I’m on the Long Island Railroad headed east, all the way east, to Montauk, where I’ve rented an Airbnb to participate in a week long virtual silent retreat, as part of my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.
How great it is to be and become ourselves? Through all of our loneliness that will last forever, we will only have ourself at the end. No matter how we long for others, such as our mothers, fathers, spouse, siblings, children or friends, we only have ourselves. We are enough. I am enough.
